In Mac Mail, i am having issues with my sent items. Even when selecting 'sort by To' or 'sort by From', it is still just showing up as my full name rather than the recipient. Does anyone know how to change this so that i can see a list of recipients. I know i can simply add name into spotlight search but ideally id like to see name. I am using a gmail email account. Any help would be much appreciated.

How are you accessing the Sent mail?  Are you going through the special "Sent" view of the mailbox, or looking at the sent items under [Gmail] or [Google Mail]?

Also - try going to Mail Preferences, click on Viewing and tick "Use Classic View".  This gives you more flexibility with setting up the columns.

Thanks Rodney, its not allowing the sort in both Sent mail and Sent mail within GMAIL subcategory.

I have changed to Classic view which fixes the problem.

But ideally id like the new view/format with just the option of sorting to and from.

Bit weird but may have something to do with Gmail format?

    But thanks again
