My iPhone 4s calender app has no field for adding an invite to an event. Was something very important I used with Andriod phone and I can't imagine Apple was bested on something so easy. Is ther a way with i to do this or is there a calender app to use?

Please don't send "settings - icloud - calendar - ON." as it is set that way and has nothing to do with an invite function.

When you are making a calendar entry, simply add email addresses to the "Invitees" field.  I think that's how it's done.

Tgara is right. Once you click on the invitees field you can click the + sign to add people in your address book or type their email manually.

See that is the problem. in Google Calender there was a field for "Invitees". There is on the MAC as well, but not on the calender app on the phone. Any other thoughts, apps, etc... I have look all throught eh setting trying to find a way to update the calender app or find further optional settings that might all "invitees", but have found nothing.

My phone has the invitees field. However, I am using Microsoft exchange. The invitees field may be specific to Microsoft exchange and not the regular Apple calendar app using iCloud.

It is there. I am using icloud as my only calender and when I click on the + to add an event if you scroll down below repeat the next field is invitees. Click on that and it goes to a screen that allows you to invite attendees.

Great, glad you found a way to work it out.

Problem is you are no longer using google as your calendar. You are now using icloud calendars. So if you log into your google calendar on a computer you will not see the most recently added events you put into your phone since you made the change to the default calendar.

In order to get invites with a google calendar you need to have the google exchange ( aka active sync ).
