Q: Siri's voice got more robotic?

I would strongly suggest hiding your phone number and email address. This is a public forum, and you have just posted personal information for the world to see, including, probably 10 million potential spammers, stalkers, and other lowlife.

thats ok i cant be scammed at all i know what i did and i love iphone thats why i did it its all ok.

Don't worry!! I was freaking out over this and gave up, put Siri (my iPhone 5) on the chager and left it alone. 30 minutes later I needed her to preform a task and she was back! I turned her off in anger, this might be key. So I guess just relax and wait, she can fix herself

After purchasing a 16GB black iPhone5 in late Dec, I had to get a replacement last week due to the screen coming loose (making plastic popping sounds when pressed).  Since, I've noticed that Siri and possiblyl all speakerphone functions such as the GPS/Map features and speakerphone during phone calls have a dimished, distorted, raspy, montone, robotic tone.  I have since gotten a replacement twice having the same issue.  I will try the iCloud backup or iTunes backup/restore later today and let you all know how it goes. 

Okay, so I tried backing it up via iCloud via wifi and nothing changed with Siri's voice, it still sounds slow and monotone.  I'm going to try and do a backup via iTunes on my laptop when I get home to see if that changes.

After resetting the whole phone and starting from new without restoring and just using it as an activated phone via sim card, Siri sounds back to normal (normal inflection, pitch, tone, clarity). 

Then I restored via iTunes (via ligtening/usb cable) and it's been great for the first few hours! 

I backed up my iPhone 5 to the computer rather than iCloud and I decided to check if Siri was still robotic before I restore it. Well Siri decided to go back to his normal voice right before I restored it. So maybe either try that (I reallly don't see how it worked) or just leave it (the problem started earlier yesterday).

Ok to solve this Problem you have to make an Backup with iCloud.

Dont Restore it. Just make a Backup with iCloud.

This fixed my Problem.

If you think about it, it says 'ONE voice for SIRI and VOICEOVER' so if you change to another Siri language and downloaded that full voice maybe it returns to compact voice for Siri?

Just the opposite.

" If you are using VoiceOver and enable Siri to use a language different from the language VoiceOver is using, Siri will download the full voice and VoiceOver will switch to using the compact voice."

Sorry I phrased my statement wrong, what I mean is

There is ONE voice for Siri

And there is ONE VoiceOver (but in VoiceOver settings this can be configured)

So if one were to switch VoiceOver and Siri to different dialects and then connect to wifi and charge it would download the full voice for that dialect and delete the old full voice, you could then return to using the old dialect of Siri.
