earlier today i noticed that my ipod touch was fast forwarding through songs when i wasn't doing anything. I think it has done it in the past too, but I only noticed it today because it was in my hand while it was doing it. it also stopped playing on its own too. what can i do about it? I don't want to restore it because that never fixed any other issues I've had in the past. thanks!

ipod touch 2nd gen, iOS 4.2

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Unsynbc all music and resync.

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

    iOS: How to back up

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
