Yeah, interesting point. I always forget about the iPads because mine is the original one and cannot be updated to iOS 6. I wonder if 4 or 4S iPhones are affected at all.

Yes, the 4 and 4S are having the same problems on 6.0.1.  Some even worse - like wifi disabled.  That has kept me from updating my 4 to 6.0.1.

Wow. What a mess! My 4S is staying at 6.0 until confirmed by many that all is well again.

Thanks guys.  I'll just keep 6.0.1 on my iphone 5 for the time being.  My iphone 4 is running 6.0.1, and there is no update available for it, so 6.0.2 must just be for the iphone 5 only although I think it may be for the ipad mini's and maybe the latest ipad.  My daughters ipad mini's are running on 6.0.1 though.

I've bought my iPhone 5 in Nov., 2012, I had all the problems that everyone has been discussing here.

2 weeks ago I went in and exchanged it for a new on at the nearest Apple Store, just told them that this phone has wifi issues...he said ok took the phone did the 5 minutes of tests on it, I signed off & was done.

I suggest for anyone w/ wifi issues on their iP5 go and exchange it till you get one that works better than ur last.  I've updated and tested at different public wifi spots, this new ip5 is all good...

Tonight I spent an hour on the phone with an AppleCare Rep.  Helpful and patient guy.

Restored my iPhone 5 to factory settings, still on version 6.0.2.

Connected to wifi network. Downloaded Youtube app.  Loaded first video and the entire wifi network went down!

With regards to my phone the AppleCare Rep is convinced it is not a software issue.

I've got make an appointment with an Apple Store via Apple Care next week.  He said they'll most likely replace the handset.

Hopefully a new phone will be the answer.

After I updated my original iPhone 5 to 6.0.2 the wi-fi became inoperable unless I was sitting right next to the router.  My phone is from Verizon, so I called them and though the CSR tried to help, he couldn't fix the issue.  He passed me along to Apple Support, who confirmed that it's the software upgrade that was supposed to fix the problem, has actually made things worse.

I took my phone back to Verizon who replaced it for free and now my new phone works fine.  I'm running 6.0.1 and will not load 6.0.2.  The problem is that most will come here after the download and realize there is a problem.  By then it's too late.  Apple really needs to drop 6.0.2 from its server as it causes more problems than it fixes.

I am using  602 without issue I think. I get 8 hours of usage time and nearly 18 hr standby. Should I be getting more ?

Wrong discussion, did not mean to post that here

If you restored your phone to factory settings, it did not have iOS 6.0.2.  You can only get that by updating your iOS.

I'm also seeing shocking WIFI performance with my iPhone5.  I have a TimeCapsule, with 2.4 & 5GHz, about 9 devices connect without trouble or throughput issues.

I thought my iPhone5 was one of these no problem devices, until I noticed my podcast downloads in Downcast were very very slow (30 minutes to download a 50Mb VergeCast or any similar podcast).  Went to my iPad3, tried the same download no problem.  Ran speedtest on my iPhone5 and it shows performance off the chart (29Mbps down and 2.4Mbps up, I'm on a 120Mbps/2.4Mbps DOCS 3 Cable service).

I then turned off WIFI and tried the same download (and a few more), magically 48 seconds to complete download, over HSDPA/3G (not even HSDPA+ or LTE).

Im can replicate this situation time and time again, where my iPad3 is ok on the same network, my iPhone on cellular is fine, however when I connect it to my WIFI network is useless.

This was with 6.0.2, so not sure if this problem started with this update or before with 6.0.1.  Just for giggles I uploaded a certain beta4 version, same issue I'm afraid.

At this point I'd automatically start thinking hardware, however given results this would seem to be an incorrect direction.

    WIFI Test - slow performance

    3G Test - far better

    Speedtest over WIFI

I am still having trouble and have been patiently awaiting an update to the software that will fix it. Well it hasn't come so I thought I would ask for my phone to be replaced through my provider Vodafone UK. The troubles I have is not connecting automatically, manually works sometimes but then drops out soon, very poor range, reading the signal but unable to connect, dispite all my other devices working well with my home wi-fi.

They said that if I took the phone into them, they would send it away to be repaired, in the meantime I could purchase a pay as you go phone and the cost and of some credit would be credited to my account. I thought this was extremely poor, there was no budging their stance. Very cheesed off, I expect both Apple and Vodafone are about to loose a customer.

Is there an Apple store anywhere close to you?  If so, I'd try taking it there.  If not, I feel your pain.
