I'm having the exact same problem, so frustrating!  All playlists on my iPhone 5 are gone as well as album artwork.  Workarounds have not work.  Please fix it soon!

Same here. New iPad (3rd Gen) 64GB Wi-fi yesterday. Updated it to iOS 6.0.1, restored my back-up from my iPad 2 32GB Wi-fi (6.0.1), and reloaded my apps. I noticed this morning that although all my music shows up, my playlists aren't showing  up. My album art was missing for most of the day, but it finally appeared this afternoon. I've tried the usual fixes, turning Match off and on, signing out of the iTunes store, etc. No joy.

There is always the alternative of using Google music with an App. Same thing as iTunes Match in that it copies all your library and playlists as I have just discovered, downloading the music you want. As far as I can see, up to 20000 songs the service is free. Worth a try.

Glad to see it's not just me!!  I have had this problem since I tried to turn off itunes match and on again (regretting that now).  No artwork and no playlists, this is obvioulsy an issue and I am very mad that apple hasn't fixed this.

I got mine to working, finally, by toggling iTunes Match off and back on on my Mac. It reprocessed my 6,061 songs, and when I turned iTunes Match back on on my iPad, my playlists were back. (I turned everything off and wiped my music on my iPad first, just to start with a clean slate.)

My album art is reloading too.

I got my playlist to show up by renaming them on my PC , by clicking on name and adding a couple more letters to each and entered it and the playlist went straight to my IPAD, seems like a glitch but was a work around for me as I have spent around 6 hours trying to get this to work. Found this fix in a Early December thread. Hope this can help.. also somehow made my remote app for apple TV work too, aged 4years over this just kidding .

Not sure if this is a fix in the slightest, but I found that turning iTunes Match Off then On under the iTunes Store tab (Store > Turn Off iTunes Match) helped bring all the artwork and Genius playlists back. Sorry I don't have any playlists, but I think the bug is effecting both artwork and playlist. After iTunes Match updated on my computer (I turned iTunes Match Off on my iPhone before I Added the computer again) I turned iTM back on my iPhone and somehow everything was back. Hopefully this helps and Apple prevents issues like this in the future. Best of luck!

That worked for me! Playlists and artwork are showing up on all my devices. Thank you!

No offense to counterculture, but I think they just got lucky with timing. Best I can tell, this was an iTunes Match outage, and they finally got things mostly working this evening. I say mostly since many of my 16K+ tracks are missing artwork (and they had it before this all started).

Since I consider this an outage, and it lasted for 2-3 days, I plan to ask Apple to extend my subscription by that amount of time. I suggest you all do that too.

Try it now. I believe Apple has now fixed it. Turn your Match on and off, and it shoudl be restored. There is a large discussion on this in the Match category, and it has been automatically fixed for most of us.

Seems to be working again now.

I think Joel is right about the outage.

Turning off iTunes Match on my iPhone, turning it off on my main Mac, then turning it on on my Mac and, once done, on my iPhone, helped and the playlists are again visible on the phone.

    I have Itunes 11.0.1.12

I have tried several times to use Match. I keep getting the an error message in itunes that it needs to close.

    Mod Name ntdll.dll

Itunes finished uploading match, but then quits and shuts down.

When I open the cloud on my iphone4s ver 6.0.1 the song titles appear, but are grayed out, and will not play.

I have spent days trying to make this work.

I am not sure where to request a refund.

    Please help

For those still not getting playlists on their iDevice via iTunes Match, please try this:

      1. Log Apple ID out of iTunes

      2. Power down iPhone

      3. Power on iPhone

      4. Log back in to iTunes--Match will turn on automatically.

This worked for me and others who reported back in other threads.

This did not help my issue.

I did have a grayed out song list on my phone, from Match. Now I have no Match list at all.

Question: Do I have to leave Itunes running all the time on my desktop? When I close Itunes on my desktop, then start it again, it goes through the entire match process again, looking at my songs, and uploading them.

I still never get a match on my Iphone 4s
