All templates seem to assume a finished product of A4 either Portrait or Landscape. I cannot believe this is so. A book of Short stories needs (roughly) A5. How do I handle this in preparation ?

Why are you talking about print sizes with an (iBooks Author) ebook?

A4 and A5 have no correlation with an iBooks Author ibook layout. You can let go of those concepts and work the tool instead.

Feel free to experiment with the various templates to find something you like.

Have you tried Exporting to PDF for a rough preview?

Remember too that the print dialog has a 'save to PDF' option that might provide alternate control.

You'll get the hang of it

    Good luck.
