Same problems with the same configuration of imac: with vmware i can run win7 64 bit iso or dvd...but bootcamp gives me always that answer both win7 64 bit iso and dvd!!!Why??

Me too, created an Image of my Windows 7 64 bit to install on my new 27inch and get message saying I have to use the 64 bit. Help.

Ok so my workaround was the following:
1. download windows 7 Premium for free on the microsoft web site
2. use bootcamp to transfer to USB Key
3. continue normal install
4. Use your Windows 7 Premium Key that you got wehn you purchased the software.
