Jan 13, 2013 9:07 AM in response to 1711daveby Winston Churchill,Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.

There is no such thing. The 2nd generation can only go to iOS 4.2.1. Do you have a 3rd generation? And verify what operating system it is running by navigating to Settings, then General, then About, then Version.

iPhoneI meant a 2nd generation iPod touch, not 2nd generation Apple TV. I assumed that's what he meant since you said:
You need a 2nd generation iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 or better.
And he replied:
its 2nd gen and it on 5.1

Apple TVIt was whether or not 4.3 can run on a 2nd generation touch or not I was querying, I don't have one but know the Apple articles can ocasionally be wrong. You'd said the touch could only run 4.2.1, is that correct.

iPhoneOh, yes, sorry. I didn't see that part of the article. That information is incorrect. The 2nd generation iPod touch can only be updated to iOS 4.2.1. (Screenshot to follow soon, need to charge up my 2nd gen first).
