My wife's Iphone is set up to use my Apple ID for updating Apps, signing into Itunes, etc. Big mistake. I can't find out how to change her Iphone so it will use her Apple ID & password.

Anyone know how to change this please?

Use the ID for what? Apps are locked to the account that purchased them and you have to sign into the account that purchased them to update them.

To change ID go to Settings>Store (iTunes and App Store for iOS 6) and sign out and sign back in.

Sure... if you have iOS 5 installed go to Settings> Store, and tap the Apple ID to sign out. Sign in again with the different Apple ID.

If you have iOS 6 installed go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap Apple ID & sign out.

Just for interest, I've had exactly the same issue - my email has changed twice since I purchased CoPilot some years ago, and figuring out how I could add a map that was on special offer was a pain in the proverbial.

A lot of the advice on the internet was incomprehensible. I even deleted CoPilot and downloaded it again (worrying I might end up being asked to pay again, which I wasn't thankfully) only to find I was on the 2nd email address and not the current one, i.e. back to square one!  The advice above, i.e. tap the Apple ID to sign out and then sign back in again using the old Apple ID that the app was purchased under worked, so thanks very much for that trrlightning.  Not intuitive I would say, but easy when you know how.  Of course, tough if you don't know what ID the app was purchased under...

I must say, I probably spent about 2-3 hours in total on this issue, and I can see other people have spent even more.  Pulling your hair out (if I had any!) would be an appropriate comment.

My general point is that a lot of people post stuff on apple messages who are either aficionados or assume everyone else loves apple as much as they do.  Personally, I like the iPhone, but I find some of the apple logic more difficult than it needs to be.  No doubt finding out what ID an app was purchased under is also easy when you know how and no doubt an Apple ID doesn't have to be an email address in the first place, but this issue really was a pain as far as I was concerned!  No doubt me being an idiot, but I'm only human...

Anyway, I can navigate New Zealand happily now.

    Cheers all.
