there's a list of air print compatible printers
Those will print natively from the iPad. However there are other options. YOu can look for a wireless printer that perhaps has its own app (what's available varies from manufacturer to manufacturer) or you an look into third party apps such as print n share, print central or printopia which allow printing from the iPad to wireless printers.
