i usually call people via facetime from their contact in my phone
i dont remember ever having a facetime "app widget" on my iphone just my ipad .. there is a facetime option in the contact
if it was there for u you can checck this: Settings>General>Restrictions. Make sure that it wasn't turned off in restrictions.
Swipe from screen to screen to see if it was moved to a folder on another screen.
other then that it does not exist

There never has been a FT icon on the iPhone. Only on the iPod and iPad. FT functionality can be accessed from the person's contact. You should see a FT button in the person's individual contact.

Earlier I was confused. I use iPad which has FaceTime icon. N I use it regularly.
I used FaceTime on iPhone 4 only once to answer a call. I do not remember if iPhone has FaceTime icon.
Make a FaceTime call: In Contacts, choose a name, tap FaceTime, then tap the phone number or email address that the person uses for FaceTime.
To call someone who has an iPhone 4 or later, you can start by making a voice call, then tap FaceTime.
And this does mean that iPhone donor have FaceTime icon, but has its functionality.
And in some countries FaceTime is banned legally. So Apple sales equipment w/o FcaeTime function.
I hope this clarifies the long pending doubt .
