    It happened to me the same issue after every update of the OS. I tried the following things.

    1.Settings->General->Reset->Reset network settings

    2.Settings->WI-FI->Select your network and forgot that

    3.Change the network password in your home wireless router (Router admin settings)

    4.Update the new password in your iphone for your home wifi.

    It worked for me very well on each upgrade. Not sure this is the right solution, but it may helps someone and worth trying.

    Only issue is we need to change the password in all our other devices connecting to this router after we change the password.

    Happy connection

    The problem of wifi disable in the iphone 4s is by the software, by the update. After to do all the recomendations that are in internet (you tube, forum in Apple, seekers, etc) and none worked, they changed the hardware, wifi antenna and did not work. Because Apple has not released a statement about this big problem. Because it takes an update for resolved this problem. I'm a lover of all the Apple, but with this  little support and warranty, we will review other brands the tecnology.

    What worked for me :

    First reset the network settings on your iphone.

    In Airport Utility go to the Wireless tab.

    Change the radio mode to 802.11a/n-802.11b/g.

    Change the radio Channel Selection to "manual".

    Set the 5GHz to automatic and the 2.4GHz to 11
