A side note. Had put off updates until was fully finished testing and previewing the macmini and mountain lion.
So what new?
16GB of memory! Wow this turns the i7 with Intel HD 4000 for what I was hoping for.
Will be posting new info and video soon.

Same problem here.
I've a LG IPS225 connected through HDMI to macmini 2012 and colors are really too bright in white, even after calibration, for example, I can't see the odd and even color in finder for each line, it's all white.
That's really anoying.
And this screen is working really well with another computer, running linux. So it's an OSX problem.
Apple, could you answer please ?

I had the same issue -- I couldn't see the line shading in finder, couldn't see the blue shading on posts in this forum, etc. Everything was "blown out" and white.
I finally tried changing the white point while calibrating. This did it for me -- the colors are far more "normal", and I can see shading now.

Hi mjsab, I've tried to manipulate calibration in all ways, but nothing leads me to a correct color rendering...
I'll try tomorrow with a DVI cable and a minidisplay to DVI adapter...
That's a really annoying bug, and apple should communicate on this.

I just tried ML 10.8.3 (beta) and it did fix the color problem (too bright colors). The Intel firmware update in December didn't fix it.
