When opening my MacBook pro, after it has sat overnight while plugged in, it always restarts as if my battery has died. Does anyone know why it would do this?

Its very slow and annoying. The blue monotone screen comes up with the progress bar and then eventually the color returns but I still can't move the mouse. Eventually it all starts working again. My computer is set to never sleep when plugged in. An the "put hard disks to sleep when possible" button is unchecked.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), iOS 6.0.2
