If your refering to jailbreaking , then we cant help you, if your refering to having it officially unlocked by the carrier, then no.

Actually, if you're referring to a legitimate carrier unlock, the process requires you to restore the phone using iTunes. That will of course, erase the phone. If you're backing up and syncing as intended, you can restore all of your media and apps and re-sync your data.
