I am trying to create a template for FCPX with 10 drop zones in Motion.

My question, which I have not been able to figure out, is how can I make it so the drop zones recognize the in point of the clip that is being dropped in?

In FCP 7, when I added an in point on a clip and then dropped it into a drop zone it recognized it in the drop zone, but now it seems not to in Motion 5.

I want to use the generator route to create the template, being that this template will have no titles and it has 10 different drop zones.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you

Unfortunately, published drop zones don't respect in/out points.  But you can try a work around.  In the Motion project apply the scrub behavior to the drop zone and then publish the behavior parameter, giving you the ability to choose the frame you want to start from in FCP X.

I guess this is a missing feature.

I tried adding a scub behavior and it does not work, it seems that you can only add scrub to videos and not images or drop zones.

    Thank you for the reply.

It seems this bug has been fixed.  You first need to line up your generator with what you want your source to show and then you click on the frame you want matched on the clip in browser and then click apply clip.

Took me a while to figure it out.
