Q: Why do I receive an invalid code when I input the correct code?

I have purchased QuickTime 7 Pro for Windows and when I place the Registration Code in the registration box, I get an Invalid Code message.  I verified that I am running QuickTime 7.7 and I have made sure that I was putting the code in correctly.  What is the problem?

Assuming the key was generated properly, it must

    1) be for the proper platform (Mac keys do not work on PCs and PC keys do not work on Macs and

    2) the name entered must be the sames as the one used to putchase the key to include prefix (Mr., Miss, Dr., etc) and/or suffix (Sr., Jr., DDS, etc.) if used.

In some rare cases, the key sent in your email may be incomplete or incorrect. In most such cases, the key is not posted to you account in the recent purchases area, so it may be a good idea to compare your emailed key with what may or may not be on file in your account area. If just purchased and not posted to your online account, you may have to contact Apple with your purchase information regarding this matter. Also remember that Apple now only keeps a record of your key for a maximum of 18 months, so it is usually a good idea to back this information up to multiple locations such as your hard drive, USB thumb drive, online storage area, etc.

I have same problem as this.   "Contacting Apple" via e-mail does not sem to be an option.  I am in Mexico and cannot phone 1-800  numbers.

Each country's Online Apple Store maintains its own customer database. Therefore, you must contact the same Apple Store from which you purchased the key. The number listed for the online store in Mexico is 001-866-676-5682 or 001-800-692-7753. I do not know if the 001 prefix performs the same routing function in Mexico as the 1 does in the USA. I bought from US Store.

Then you will probably have to find an alternative means of contact. (E.g., do you have family in the US who can contact Apple for you regarding this matter if the purchase was less than 18 months old?)

So how do I cancel, return and get refund for Quicktime pro purchase download?

You (or a designated representative) will have to contact Apple, show proof of purchase (order number and method of payment), and get them to confirm that no valid registration key was generated/posted to your online account. If you can do this, then Apple should credit your credit card with the purchase amount and you have the option of repurchasing or not as may suit your needs. If you can't do this or the key is over 18 months old, then you are SOL. There are no returns or cancellations for valid keys issued, for failure to save/safeguard your registration information, or for purchasing a key for the wrong platform.
