Q: Why isn't the Iphone 5 compatible with a 2013 honda crv

I just purchased a 2013 Honda CR v and my Iphone 5 is only partially compatible.  I cannot receive incoming calls, but I can make outgoing calls.  Iphone 4 and 4S are both compatible.

Any suggestions or is this another Apple glitch ?

Honda says it is an Apple problem with IP5. It will aanswewr if you do the following. Answer the call on the steering column then switch the source on the IP5 (At this point you can hear the call on the phone speaker) Then if you switch sources again to Hands free link on the phone sources then you will be able to hear the call through the car speakers. Apple should be embarassed about this but they dont seem to be in a hurry to address. Lots of other cars have BT issues with IP5. Maybe a Galaxy S4 will be in my future even though I have purchased every Iphone the day it was released.

The car makers have to update their software. Pressure Honda for a solution.

It is the same issue with Nissan vehicles and I would bet they are using the same Bluetooth equipment as Honda. Nissan has announced they are issuing a firmware update for their vehicles.
