May 23, 2013 6:40 PM in response to Herbertby george_kb,Hello Herbeert. I seem to have the same paper size issue.
Have tried all custom sizes since I dont want to print from within an application like preview just the mac software itself.
But even with the exact same paper size and settings as the ones you will find in Preview for example i still get the paper size error.
Any suggestions?

May 23, 2013 9:06 PM in response to george_kbby Herbert,Hello George, you should read the thread here, especially the conversation I had with PAHU, he was very patient in helping me through this confusion between paper size and ink size, plus a few other setup issues.
My printer is working now since a while without problems.
Best wishes!

Jul 1, 2013 6:30 PM in response to CY2007by slobizman,I have the exact same issue of not being able to install the software. It's truly unbelievable -- it's July 1, 2013 and Canon is not supporting Mountin Lion? Insanity.
Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I would like to print from my Mac, either from iPhoto of the included software I cannot install.
Thanks.

Jul 1, 2013 8:32 PM in response to slobizmanby PAHU,Canon is supporting 10.8 with the CP900.
Here is a link to the printer driver.

And here is a link to the ImageBrowser EX application.

Jul 1, 2013 9:58 PM in response to PAHUby slobizman,Thank you for the links. I followed them and installed the driver and the software. I had to have the printer connected with a USB cable, thought it would do it over the wireless, but guess not.
Then I rebooted both the Mac and the CP900. My Mac is connected to the CP900 through wireless in ad hoc mode. But nothing will print. And in Preferences/Printers it shows the printer but says it's not connected.
I have been able to successfully print from the iPhone app.

As I mentioned in a previous reply further up, you can print from iOS in Ad Hoc mode but for the Mac you need to have the CP900 connected to a wireless access point (router) for printing (known as Infrastructure).
And with regards to the Printer showing not connected in the Print & Scan preference pane, if this is the printer that was created when you had the CP900 connected to the Mac via USB, then it will show not connected when you have disconnected the USB cable.
To get be able to print from the Mac to the CP900 you need a wireless router. If you then connect the CP900 via WiFi to this router, you can then create a new printer entry in Print & Scan for the wireless connected CP900.

Jul 2, 2013 1:27 PM in response to PAHUby slobizman,Aha. Thanks Pahu.
So i got it all installed and working.
Observations: Printing from my Mac to the CP900 is finicky -- sometimes I have to reboot the CP900. The Image Browser EX software is rather odd, well for on a Mac anyway. The iphone app is by far the easiest way to use the printer.
I was hoping that I could use the CP900's built-in screen to position, crop etc, but it looks like that is only available when inserting a memory card.

That's good news.

I agree. The desginers were having a bad week when they put that application together.

Yes. Only for a memory card. The printer appears to be designed more for connecting the camera directly to it, or inserting the camera's memory card. The computer connection seems to be an afterthought.

Jul 3, 2013 9:22 AM in response to PAHUby slobizman,I think perhaps what I'll do, considering I won't be doing a lot of printing of photos, is email a photo over to myself on my iphone when I want to print one, and just print with the iphone app. That is a very smooth process.
I use the Photo Collage app to position the photo into a 3x2 ratio frame and then use Canon's Easy Photo-Print app to send to print. Any suggestions on any other iphone app to prepare the photo for sending to print is appreciated.
Everybody: I appreciate the great help you've given me.
