my brain has turned to absolute mush after having proofed my cardscan database (4,000 business card contacts) and then ported my Previous Recipients from Mac Mail to Mac Contacts and now finally sorted my Mac Contacts.

is there any way to sync Mac Contacts to GOOGLE CONTACTS in a way that will retain the categories/groups so that i can see these easily in my iPhone and on my Mac Contacts? is there any way to access the GOOGLE CONTACTS database on my iPhone? other?

i have one big problem where the four cardscan databases represent 3 databases of business card contacts and one represents the personal database of contacts and i am trying to figure out if i MANUALLY export the personal contacts from cardscan and manually import them as vcf into each individual group in my MAC CONTACTS so that they retain their categories - or - if conversely i should try to export my MAC CONTACTS to GOOGLE and simply do a sync with GOOGLE somehow or, er well what exactly.

part of the issue is that i have about 60 categories in cardscan and now finally in google that represent my business card contacts but i still have a database in cardscan that represents personal contacts and i would like to get these to mac contacts (at the very least) since these also represent the type of contacts i would like to have accessible on my phone and on my laptop and desktop so they are accessible very easily.

i can live with just having the business contacts on google so i am just trying to strategize about how to finalize this simply and with the least workflow bs as i try and maintain things over time.

i also don't want to totally clutter up my MAC CONTACTS so that i have a hard time finding someone to call on my iPhone.

a BIG thanks for anything constructive on this.
