I purchased a gently used iphone 3g in 2011.

I accidentially sync'd phone when i changed my account to a new one. The new one had no apps or extras.

I associated my old account with my new one; and was able to see my previous purchases and apps etc....

Re-sync'd iPhone 3g to my iPhone account and the old apps did not install.

Apple won't talk to me unless i purchase a tech-time session but this is not an option for me at this time or near future.

Can some of the  Apple Community help me with this to get my old apps back to my old phone with my old OS.Version ?

- phone locked to Rogers

- 8g model 3g

- Version 4.2.1 (8C148)

- Modern Firmware 05.15.04

I don't know much about getting into the 'guts' of systems and doing work-arounds...please be simple in your answers like 1,2,3, or a, b, c

thanks to all who offer up their wisdom.....

  muchly appreciated.

The 3G maxes out at iOS 4.2.1. iBooks requires iOS 5.0 or higher. You can't run it on that phone. You're going to find that's the case with many, if not most of the apps in the app store.

The iPhone 3G was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. It's over 4 1/2 years old now.

If you did not save old versions of the apps you want to run on it, you're going to have a hard time finding anything that will run on the iPhone 3G.
