My last two podcasts aren't posting on the iTunes Store, though they are downloading to my subscriber iTunes account. However there is a white ! in a black circle to the left of my podcast containing the following message: CSDE Out Loud does not seem to be a valid Podcast URL.

I have no idea why I'm getting this message. My rss file used to post to the iTunes Store just fine. I've double-checked my code against the iTunes sample code and successfully submitting it to the feed Validator.

Any help/suggestions is most appreciated.

fyi - this is the first time I've posed a question to the forum.

It's not really possible to comment unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'.  Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

Please just enter plain text in the field when making a post - your somehow extends well beyond the space available requires lateral scrolling for every line to read it - please don't do this .

The feed you link to and the iTunes page you link to don't match, though in both cases the latest episode downloads OK. This iTunes page is iTunes-U, not podcasts, and when subscribed to turns up in the iTunes-U section: this has a couple of episodes missing from what is in the feed (and when the feed is subscribed to manually). I'm not getting any error messages either way round, and these two extra episodes download OK.

I can't examine the feed being used for iTunes-U as it doesn't offer to tell you the feed URL, and I don't know whether this works in the same way.

I don't really know anything about iTunes U and how it works, so apart from what I've been able to tell you above I can't advise. There is a dedicated forum, https://discussions.apple.com/community/itunes_u , so whether you can get help there I don't know.

I searched on the title and got the same result - iTunes U only. Possibly you are only allowed to be in one or the other but not both? - as I say I'm not familiar with iTunes U. However there also appear to be two feeds because of the fact that the one in iTunes U isn't as up to date as the feed URL you quoted. You could try submitting that as a podcast, though you may need to change the title a bit or you will be told it has already been submitted.

Looking at the iTunes U subscription, it leads to a feed URLat

    http://deimos3.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Feed/washington-public-dz.717138492 9.07171384931

This is basically your feed but, as with the Store page, two episodes (just prior to the most recent) missing which are in the feed you quoted. This doesn't really get us any further - obviously this feed is hosted by Apple (which does not of course happen with ordinary podcasts) but where it gets it from I don't know.
