Turned "OFF" SNOOZE slider and then waited for alarm to "go off".
Alarm sounded and was allowed to run for 10 full minutes and did "NOT" shut off.
Alarm was cancelled by sliding button marked "CANCELL ALARM".
So I am assuming that any alarm you set up will "SOUND" until the end of the world? LOL

For most of us, an alarm that sounded for only a minute and then turned off would be a receipe for disaster. The whole point of an alarm clock is to wake you up. When you wake up, you turn it off. Having an alarm go off when you are not around seems kind of pointless, in my opinion. From your description, it sounds as if you need some sort of reminder app. I'd recommend Alarmed. It sounds like it might do exactly what you want.

Clock > Alarm > Slide "ON" to "OFF"... or you could just delete it and make a new one... but remeber to turn that one off too untill your ready to use it again lol

Very Good Point. It is an alarm and I should be using a Reminder App.......Thank you.
I did not see it that way.
