Jan 19, 2013 10:48 AM in response to KyJim2by edex67,Format the Toshiba to either Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or FAT32 format (preferably Mac OS Extended). Then plug it into your Extreme. It should appear in the Finder under Shared as the name of your Extreme.

Jan 19, 2013 10:54 AM in response to KyJim2by Bob Timmons,Since the USB port on the AirPort Extreme is under powered...if the hard drive does not appear in the Finder, you may likely need to use a powered USB hub with the hard drive....even if the hard drive has its own power supply.
