Where did you buy the phone, and what does it say on your receipt?

If it is in fact locked, only Orange can unlock it, so you'll need to contact them.

You must get OrangeUK to unlock it. CarPhoneWarehouse iPhones are NOT unlocked phones. The are SIM free, which is not the same, as they will lock to the carrier of the first SIM used on the phone. You need to contact Orange for the unlock.

PS only Apple sells unlocked phones in the UK.

Ah, then it will have locked to the first network's SIM that you inserted. Carphone Warehouse are unique in selling such iPhones. Unfortunately, they are rather rubbish at telling customers the fact and often tell people they are unlocked without mentioning they will be locked as soon as you insert a SIM.

You'll still need to contact Orange, but some people have reported problems getting Orange to unlock the phone, as it wasn't purchased direct from them so there is no record of it in their database.

    Good luck.
