I am using the new thunderbolt 27 in display. When I plug into my mac pro laptop it does everything just fine except when it goes to sleep. 75% of the time when the computer and display sleep the display does not wake up when I wake the computer. I cannot find any answers as how to fix it. I'm running osx 10.8.2 and everything is updated. Please help!!!

I've a similar configuration but am having no trouble waking my screen when my MBP awakens. The only thing that I can suggest is to temporarily unplug the display from mains and try it again.

Don't know of any special fix for your problem.

I just bought a ThunderBolt Dislay (TBD) yesterday.  It's attached to a new Mac Mini i7.  I encountered a similar issue to yours.  But with mine, the display goes blank while the computer is still awake.  The sound and everything works, but the display is blank.  Moving the mouse and pressing the keyboard does nothing to remediate the blank screen.

It seems like this is a fairly common issue.  There's another post on it (link here).  It seems like people are sighting bad manufacturing for the problem.  Several had taken their TBDs back and gotten new ones.

    I hope this info helps.
