I had the same issue. I ran FILE - LIBRARY - GET ALBUM ARTWORK. My screensaver was back.

Yeah! This *****! I tried what mabaulne suggested without buying any music, and I still only see a few different albums (I have over 2000 albums).

I was getting the issue first that the Screensaver could not find any artwork and after deleting Voice Memos as per another discussion, my screensaver worked, but I have the same issue ... around 2000 albums that I meticulously added artwork to, and only a screen full of doubles from some 10 albums now!

Rebuilding the iTunes library solved this issue for me.
And then a run of File > Library > Get Album Artwork for the stragglers.
