any error messages? is syncing info checked in iTunes?

No error messages, but I did figure out the solution. Since iOS6 relies on the iCloud for data backup, the default calendar was set to iCloud. I went into settings and made the following change:
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars> scrolled down to Calendars and set the Default Calendar to Calendar "From My PC"
I had been able to put anything on my calendar in Outlook 2010 and it would show up on my phone during a sync, but had not been a two way street.
Now data flows to both the phone and outlook regardless of where it is entered. So its all fixed now. No software reinstalls. Yea!

i can't find the "Settings" you are talking about. Is this in iTunes, or Outlook, or System? I'm hoping this will fix my problem, but I can't get started!

I should have added some more details: I'm on a MacBook running 10.6.8, and it's only my info (Calendars, Contacts, etc.) from Outlook 2011 that isn't syncing. PLEASE HELP; I'm lost without my calendar!

When I go to settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar> there is not option for settting a default Calendar.

I'm having the same problem after upgrading to IOS6, but I don't see these options.
I have iPhone4S and was previously syncing Contacts and Calendar from Outlook 2010 through my work PC.
Since the upgrade the previous option in iTunes to Sync Contacts with Outlook is no longer visible. It syncs via the cloud with my Gmail account but I can't see any option there or on the phone settings to sync with Outlook.
