    iBlacklist is worthless.

    Call the police.

I have downloaded an iBlacklist from the Apple Store but it didnt work at all, so I claimed my money back (they restored it in a couple of months). I have been searching since then for another application of the type which would work, but no luck. I have heard there are such applications but they work only if you jailbreak your device. I have contacted the police in my case, they didnt help at all. The prosecution replied there was no crime committed. But of course it all depends on the jurisdiction, so in your case, might be different.

There is no such app that will work to any real extent on a non-jailbroken phone. Apps do not have access to those features. It would pose a serious security risk. You may have heard of the problems plaguing the android world. News stories abound regarding what they are now calling "madware".

Some of those apps (on Android) can actually intercept the phone dialer and force you to listen to a commercial before you can place a call with your phone.

@KiltedTim, that is actually incorrect. I have a Samsung S3 and there is a native setting around blocking mode.

    You can do the following:

    - Block everything between two times of day (for example when you go to sleep and then unblock when you wake up)

    - Block certain numbers numbers only based on your contacts list

    - Block everything except for certain exceptions that you define

I came here looking for a call blocking solution for my daughters iphone. Guess it's time she upgrades to Android.

You apparently didn't actually bother reading what I wrote. Or anything else in this thread.

I found a website that plays a recording of the "you have a reached a number that has been disconnected...".  When I know it's a junk call, I don't speak but just hold my phone up to another device and play it into the microphone.  Low tech, but it seems to work.
