I was trying to export photo's from iPhoto to another location but it didn't seem to want to work.

I can set up the type, size and name of file etc but when I click on the next button it thinks about it for a bit and then nothing happens..........the only thing I can do is cancel out the export option.

It used to export no problem so no idea why it has stopped.

Any suggestions??

I just want to export a few photo's to put on an external usb to take to the printers.

    I'm using OS X Mountain Lion and I'm pretty sure it's iPhoto'11

I don't get an error message........... usually once I've clicked next on the first export window it moves to a window where I can select the location of where I want the exported file to go but it's not going past the first window.

I had initially selected a whole event to export so thought it might have been the size so I tried just one photo and still nothing happens at the first window

select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export to a desktop folder - mount the USB storage and drag that folder to it

And note that you should crop the photos to the final print size prior to exporting or you have unpredictable results

I don't think you're getting it.............. it's not letting me export any photo's!!!!

I can open up the export command but it won't let me go all the way through to actually export to a file

Most likely you install a third patry export plug in that does nto work with your version of iPhoto - find nad remove it

Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder Window should open with the file selected. Does it?

Yes, my Finder Window does open with the file selected? So what does that mean?

I don't appear to have any Third Party Photo Export applications, but that doesn't mean I haven't - just means I haven't found them.

My iPhoto crashes each time I try to export a photo into Facebook.

I may have had the problem since importing photos from someone's travel photos on iCloud.com. But it may be nothing to do with this.

iPhotos gives me option to Repair but all this seems to do is restore loads of photos I have already Trashed.

    Please help.

That means that you're library isn't corrupted.

    As a Test:

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'

Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I couldn't keep both versions of iPhoto open so I couldn't drag & drop.

Well try import any images from anywhere seems the next likely thing.

In fact I couldn't find any way to get photos into new Library, using any of the 3 ways suggested on opening the new blank Library. I could access any photo files using Import. The photos just didn't load.
