    I suspect your iPhone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it from the American carrier.  Restoring it relocked it to that carrier, most likely AT&T.  Only that carrier can authorize the unlock and I think they only unlock iPhones for customers.  Contact them and ask.

    what if i don't know what is my carrier, because i got it from another person and i don't have his phone number or anything that i can contact ????
