The magnetic field in on the back side od my Iphone5 is really strong. Is that normal?  I found this video on youtube... is that really according to the regulations?

    It's from the speaker magnets.

I assumed that this is related to the speakers. But I am worried how strong this magnetic field is… There must be some legal guidelines how strong can that magnetic field be strong?!

We are all holding that phone for hours next to our head…

I would never again buy an iphone… the color is peeling off and my head will be magnetized …  :-(

What do you mean by "really strong"?

Will it stick to a refrigerator?

Will it pick up even a paperclip?

Most of the magnetic field is concentrated inside the speaker.  If there was much leakage the compass would never work.

The static field from a permanent magnet, such as used in speakers, can't harm you.  The on;y legal limits for static magnetic fields are for packages sent via mail, so they don't stick in the mail sorting equipment.

"will it pick up even a paperclip?" - yes it will .. :-))

Didn't u see the youtube film from above? Or do you think that for "really strong" it should at least stick to a frige?

Sorry, I don't know anything about permanent magnets, I just feel uncomfortable to use it next to my head.

As long as you don't have an iron plate in your head, it'll be OK.  You can use a Bluetooth earpiece.

when people worry about harm from cellphones it's never about magnetism it's about the strong electrical signal it transmit

there are not even many crazy conspiracy theories which fear magnets controlling their minds or giving them cancer
