So far, I have only ever installed Software on my MAC ( imac) by downloading directly from the web

No I have an Adobe photoshop elements 9 disk and need to install this to work with my new Epsom v500 scanner

I've put the CD into the slot and nothing happens.

I've tried to update settings, to ensure that when Software CD's are inserted I can set a default action - but there is no option for this.

Only options for Video or Music cd/dvd's etc

There's also problems trying to download Elements 9 online; only 10 onwards is available.

I have a Key for this; so really need some help - The CD/DVD is not appearing on FINDER either

What's wrong ?

try another cd like music to verify that your optical drive is not broken

if it works fine then like your epson cd is windows only or something

and you need to go to epsons site and download the driver for that model of printer you own
