I find it absolutely amazing that Front Row doesn't support compilation albums when iTunes does. Am I missing something ? I would think this would be "day one" functionality.

New to Macs. Ones of the migrators. Impressed in other areas - except the one area that made me switch, which was Front Row.

By compilation albums do you mean the "Folders" feature in iTunes for grouping playlists?

I can only agree, why apple why. Front Row's music module is almost useless at the moment for me. I need the compilation feature. I would also like a quick way to go to a letter for example 'r' if I want to play Ramones. It takes forever to scoll down to r in my library.

Obviously this is a similar silly bug like the one with multiple disc sets:

    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2081520

Front Row just ignores the disc numbers of albums consisting of multiple discs and displays and plays the songs of such an album in a wrong order.

The only workaround, until Apple fixes these bugs: Create playlists in iTunes for all compilation albums and for all multiple disc albums ...

    Yeah totally agree.
I have had to create playlists for certain bands i like so i can easily navigate in FrontRow.

The problem is with the Compilation feature not working, it makes it even harder to navigate through the artist list as there is an extra 2000 artists with only one or 2 songs attached.

Apple please address this issue in a fix soon.

Hard to believe, but this still hasn't been fixed, not even in the complete redesign of Front Row in Leopard. Guys! FIX THIS! Front Row is completely UNUSABLE for all users with compilations in their music library!
I have been waiting for one and a half years now to be able to use Front Row ... installed Leopard today ... hoped for the best ... but again, disappointed.

Why not just go in through ALBUMS, select the album that is a compilation, and play it?

    It is what I do.

Although, I do admit that it still would be nice for them to have their own grouping especially as I would use if FAR more often than "Genre".
