Check that you don't need to rotate cable 180 degrees. Pins or dock may be damaged. Cable or charger may be bad. If it is under warranty you can take ot to an Apple store or call Apple support. They will only replace it if it has normall wear and tear. Excessive damage they will say is accidental damage and will charge Out of warranty repair cost. Best to fix it soon when damage is little and has not become excessive or worse.
