And Mac Bartender is not a solution, I'm not paying $15 (after 4 weeks) just to remove the notification center button...

Title says it all, I dont use the button and I want it gone! Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I still want to use notification center, I just like my menu bar real estate.
Not sure what this refers to? If it isin the Dock you can drag it off. If it is a menulet in the upper right corner, try option clicking to see if you hvae more options. Maybe you can clarify is this third party?MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 2.4GHz IntelCorei5 320GB HD 8GB RAM

I'm actually confused that you don't know what I'm referring to... It is a menulet that comes with Mountain Lion. It is not removable through Command + drag off like other menulets (User Name, wireless , Date and Time, etc.) and there are no options when right clicked.
The notification center button is located in upper right hand corner of the screen for those who are running Mountain Lion. It is not third party this is native.
Thanks for the reply, I hope I can work something out!

I see you what you mean thanks. I would not call it a button.
No it is fixed and not meant to removed.
I never use it either
