Likely not since the format is likely not compatible. In addition, I think that the iTunes purchased books are DRM protected and the Nook does not support that DRM.

You can buy them on the computer and keep them there for backup, but you cannot read iBooks on the computer nor on the Nook. If you want to view books on all three devices, buy your books from Barnes and Noble. If you have an iOS device. B&N offers a Nook app you can use to read books purchased from them.

    Regards.

Thanks that's what I thought.  I just got the nook and some leftover itunes gift cards and wanted to use them.  My wife solved the problem--she just got an iphone from me and now she says she will use the cards for games.  thanks for your replies

While iBooks and Nook books are both ePub format, they both mostly are DRM encrypted preventing them from being read by other apps.

If you can find any DRM free ebooks in the iBook store, then they should be readable on the Nook, but it will be a challange.

There are also some DRM free Nook books, which could be read by iBooks, but again finding them will be a challange.

Other sources of DRM free (legal) ebooks are also available (some publishers are going DRM free.  And these can be read on any device that supports the format provided by the publisher or the distributor.

You can download the Nook app for the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch and read your B&N books on your iOS devices.  There is even a Nook app for Mac OS X (do not know if there is one for Windows).  Nook books can be read by any system running a Nook app.
