Yeah, I try to give my topics a few days, but some go for weeks without a single answer, while the Reddit folks are very responsive and knowledgable.
As you can see, I have participated in this community for many years and helped a lot of people. But it seems I was one of the only ones helping. There are a lot of unanswered issues here.
Thanks for the acknowledgement, Steve.
I can only wish you better luck in the future but here is an odd observation to conjure with. Several years ago when I was a newby, I used to draw answers almost without fail Then, as my points total mounted, the answers reduced in inverse proportion, almost as if people expected I ought not need to ask the questions I did.
Curious, isn't it.
But it seems I was one of the only ones helping. There are a lot of unanswered issues here.
That's not very kind towards some of the regulars who volunteer an awful lot of their time to help here. With millions of users, there are simply too many posts per minute to keep up. And, I looked at a couple of your questions - I won't answer because I don't have an answer. So, it simply appears that no one has an answer to your questions or simply missed your post. Does that mean we're not responsive? No, it doesn't. It's also quite unkind to say that of volunteers. When an entire page in one forum is posts from just the last hour or so, it is easy to miss some. I don't have time to go beyond the first page (100 posts) - I actually do have a life besides helping here.
Looking at your recent history you have two posts (not counting this one that did receive a prompt response) and of the two one has been responded to and one hasn't.
Doesn;t seem like that bad a rate especially as the one that was not responded to (the no audio out) is not something a lot of users have run into.
Looking back even further into your history your reply rate seems about average. So leave if you want to, if you think you can get better help somewhere else, there are enough users here who value this place I don;t think you'll be missed.
