Is there a way to type the Hebrew vowels using the keyboard programed into the iPad?  Or do I need to buy a wireless keyboard?

I have absolutley no background or knowledge of Hebrew, but are you using the Hebrew calendar built into iOS? And have you tried tap-and-hold on keys to see the additional available characters?

Yes, you need to buy a wireless keyboard.

You might want to search the app store and see if someone has created a keyboard that includes the vowels that can be used for certain purposes via copy/paste.

PS I forgot to mention that there are two apps, Unicode Map and Unikey, which let you create custom keyboards including all Unicode characters of a sort which can be used with other apps via copy/paste.
