I've had my Iphone 4 for alittle over a year now..and I cracked my screen, so my brother told me if we come to the Apple Store (Summit Mall) i could get it replaced free of charge, is that true?

    Can't speak for any strictly local promotions but it sounds very unlikely to me.   If YOU damage your phone (even if it is in warranty, which your's isn't) it is YOUR responsibility.

     

    Only way to cover such eventualities is insurance.   The only way to find out is to phone.

    No. You can get out of warranty service for 149. The will give a refurbished iPhone. Same as the one you currently have.

    I know of a few people who have gotten free iPhone 4 replacements for broken screens.  It is not always free, and a good bit depends upon how you treat the store employees when you go in to see about getting a replacement.  If you are honest with them, and don't try to demand that they replace it for free, you have a much better chance of getting it for free, but they don't have to do that.

    That is anecdotal and does not represent Apple policy.
