If "automatically sync" is turned on, the device is pulling the time from the cell tower.
There is nothing for Apple to "fix".
Contact your carrier and inquire when they will be correcting the time on their towers or turn off the automatic sync option.

It happens when the automatic sync is on or off.. I had it turned off and set to Chicago time and it still messed up. It's been doing it since I got the iPhone 5. It never did it with my old phone when it was synced to the same tower.

Try a reset. Press the Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Note: No data will be lost

I tried the reset earlier today and the time messed up again tonight...
