I'm having a problem with my Huawei E353 usb dongle. Every time i plug the dongle into my macbook pro, a black screen comes up asking me to restart the laptop by holding down the power button. How do i resolve this problem? I am currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.8

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

    You're experiencing Kernel Panics.

That is often caused by bad hardware, incompatible hardware, or a software error.

The first recommended step as detailed above, is to power the computer off and try a safe boot.

Does the Kernel Panics damage your computer as you need to reboot your computer quite often sometimes???

Perhaps you could help me as well? I also have a problem with Huwei E353. My Mac recognizes the device, tries to connect and after a few seconds says 'connection terminated'. With my old PC (HP) it worked well, never any problems. Thanks in advance!
