GOsh - this morning my care would not start - help me
we only know what you tell us and so far you have only told us that you have a problem
What did you do this morning that might have been wrong? What version of iPhoto and of the OS?
exactly what does
It probably has to do with the change of the library
Why do you think that you
lost a whole lot of pictures,
We need exact details to be able to help
Larry thanks for trying, but as a first time apple user, im not sure as to what went wrong, all i see is that some 500 pictures are gone when i open iphoto, they re not in the trash and when i click the file (Iphoto Library_2) where i believe the pictures are then nothing happens, please see below the screenshot i took from finder/pictures
If this is still abacadraba to you then I suggest I take my macbook to a store to see if they help me out.
Nonetheless many thanks,
First off you need to figure out why you have three (or maybe more) copies of the iPhoto library
And describing what you did this rnorning wold be helpful
as a start check each of your libraries - one of them may be the correct one adn you may be able to delete the other ones (do not delete any unless you are sure since you can not updo a deleteed file)
Depress the option key and launch iPhoto - select each library in order and test it - keep track of which is which
You're trying to import an iPhoto Library.
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
