Wake up Apple...you have lost the plot!

Obviously Apple does not currently use or test their products properly.

1) Why would you redesign the iPhone and put the headphone jack on the bottom of the phone; where you hold the phone to use the home button. Really annoying.

2) iTunes is now almost unususable; It takes forever to load and often freezes. Either it is poorly coded or they are doing some untowards stuff in the background that interupts/delays the programme from loading properly. Truely crap.....

3) The redesigned iTunes interface is very confusing and not intuitive. I have figured out how to use, but it wasn't easy and I'm a professional web user experience strategist.

4) The redesigned iTunes is missing some important functionality, i.e., the ability to see song totals and selected songs total weight/size. This makes it difficult to manage a large music collection.

5). Poor navigation functionality in the new iTunes; when you click 'see all' in any section, click on an album or song and then try to go back, you are sent to the category home page and not the 'see all' page. Frustrating....

6) iPhone 5 68G phone can not be fully loaded without the music player breaking (previously posted with may similar complaints).

7) I have all kinds of problems with the iPad 1 connecting properly to the new iTunes; iTunes continually tries to replicate files that I deleted directly from the iPad.

I suspect Apple is no longer driven by quality, but by release dates (the crap IOS maps programme is another example). I suspect they will continue to miss their financial targest until they WAKE UP!

View > Show Status Bar.  That brings up the information in the bottom row, exactly as it appeared in previous releases.

I love the new version of Grid view but some of the other changes feel like they still need some fine tuning. And I miss cover flow even if I didn't use it that often...

You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:

    • Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
    • Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
    • Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
    • Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour.
    • Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide previous purchases that you've deleted from your library. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may, perhaps, let iTunes start-up more quickly).

If you want to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.

See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

You should apply to work for Apple. They need people like you. I agree with you on almost all of your points. Number 7 means that you don't know how to use itunes. All the rest is correct, with addition that I have no problems to use itunes on the Mac. (for some reason - no slowness or anything like that). That part I think is due to the fact of different platforms. I know you will say program is suppose to work on Windows, especially since you and me using them, but Windows change (new versions, security updates). All programs have to keep up with those changes. While for us those changes normal, on Microsoft side they intended to prevent vulnerability. I am definitely not as smart as you being "professional web user experience strategist."

but I can imagine how hard it is design software for cross platform, constantly adapting changes to updates of intended protection.

Or and for number 7 check out :

Thanks. I'm already in manual mode. Let me be clearer....

I delete a TV show using my iPad directly from the iPad (not from the computer). When I do connect and try uploading.  different files the app tries to reinstall the deleted TV show. Evidently, you need to sync first, and then upload new files. Not such a big deal, but all these bits of problems add up to a poor user experience and again, it makes me wonder how dedicated they are to quality.

Let me be clearer. Enable manually manage and drag and drop, easy/easy. Just needed to show my kids once.
