yeah i hate it with a passion, when ever my ipad or iphone are connected to my pc in itunes, my playlist for both devices only comes up every now and then, which means i can't play any music from them within itunes only songs from the main libary, which is different. The last version was great and their was no need to change it. What i hate even more is i can't purchase out side Australia too, most of the stuff im into i can't purchase here, and it ****** me off big time, they want to stop piracy yet the fuel the industry by limiting everything. And in the end its the cosumer and the Artist that misses out on the sale. Just doesn't maks sense to me.

@CKyaw - thanks for that, I've downloaded the 10.7 before,as you say, it disappears !!
Before I go deleting stuff left/right/centre- can you tell me the purpose of 'Pacifist' ? Does the downloaded 10.7 not have an installer file (sorry, not an IT person !!) for self-installation - or is there another reason for using Pacifist (I assume it works on Windows btw...)
Once I have 10.7 back, how about music I've bought since since that 10.7 itl file I restored - will the iTunes store update my 'new' 10.7 app with purchases made since ?
TIA as they say !!

Where's the link for downloading an older version of iTunes. It wasn't so much v.220.127.116.11, but the combination of that with iCloud, which ate all my previous playlists and appears to have wiped away some of my purchases (or I can't find them). I have a huge investment in iTunes songs and videos, so I can't abandon the platform, but I would really like to go back to a version that worked for me.
Anyone have the link?

You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
- Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
- Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
- Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
- Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the previous search behaviour.
To roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.
To protect against the unexpected in future backup your iTunes library (and other personal data).

Congratulations Apple ! - Between this new version of itunes and the IOS6 for Iphone (bluetooth wont work) you have finally pushed me over the edge !
I will not be investing in any more apple products. I intend to gradually get rid of my iphone, ipad and ipods (3) - you people are losing the plot !
I am due an upgrade on my phone and the iphone 5 will not be my next choice (connector issue). You have taken great programmes and products and ruined them in your pursuit of locking us all in ! not me im getting out !!

You MUST use pacifist (you do not have to buy it, just use one time) because it uninstalls all parts of itunes 11 that are hidden in our mac system.
If you don't do this way, after 10.7 installation, you will receive annoying messages all the time.
In this sense, I strongly recommend that you download pacifist and drag the itunes 10.7 dmg into it, ok?
Please, make a backup of all your music/videos because after you trash the library, and rename your older one, you may have to drag the new musics in order to put them in this new library, ok?
Unfortunately I am not 100% secure that pacifist will work on a PC, but I am almost sure that the answer is yes, because I've read older posts about this issue and, as I said, I am almost sure that pacifist can be used on a PC.

Agreed. It's the main player I use for my textbook library. Performance is very sluggish and sometimes it will not read a new CD or burn a playlist. UGH! I too may need to change players. Music Teacher

Hi gregorymark - I couldn't see if you got a reply but I think this is the link you need as I was able to download version 10.7 here, though have not yet tried installing it.

I just downgraded to version 10.7 and although it was a bother having to reimport all the songs and redo all the playlists I'd done since installing 11, it was worth it. Yay, now I can enjoy working in iTunes again!
Everyone Downgrade Now!

The saddest part is we're all in here reading forums trying to get this crap to work. When I want to watch a TV show I'm not dying to spend an hour reading forums to try to find out how to make this garbage work. I'm glad the stock is finally headed down where it belongs, the quality of all of these products are the worst.

Why can't they do it again?
It won't affect you since you will never update again.

You MUST use pacifist
No you DON'T!
5, launch pacifist and click the first option Open Package. Open the iTunes10.7.dmg file you downloaded.
6, during installation, click replace everytime a window pops up and asks you, DON'T click Ignore All.
When are you supposed to install? Step 5 simply opens the package with Pacifist.
Why not simply run the iTunes Installer?

I just told what LOTS of people said.
I've done the downgrade using pacifist and it was perfect. People that didn't use and simply installed 10.7 had problems, because some parts of itunes 11 had remained and it caused messages of errors.
Of course I am not expert as you, because we can see in your posts that you really knows everything about itunes, apple, macs, etc.
I've just answer one post, suggesting what I has done andwhat worked for me.
