best 2tb external

im after a good 2tb hd, i currently have a desktop WD 500gb and a portable segate 500gb which have served me well for a while but i now need somethign big, i use the storage mainly for backign up pictures and videos of my 8 month old twins , my mac is currently full and i need another place to back everything up safely, i like to have numerous coppies for safety,

can any one give me any dummies advice please ? i duno what the best hd is, my budget isant reli any more then £100

    Some time ago all Seagate drives came with a 5 year warranty - five years! I do not know if that is still true. Why not send them an email and ask for warranty information?


    By the way, for what it's worth I have also heard at least one complaint about a Seagate drive.


    That price on Amazon - the first one - is very good. The Passport drive is designed for portability, which I don't believe you need. And given also the extra £££, the first would be a better choice.


    p.s. I have not been able to get advice on repairing the plastic around the edge - the question you asked in a previous post.
