Jan 27, 2013 5:47 AM in response to JGagikby cheonweb,I don't know about messages (i think you can't) but for contacts you have to sync galaxy with Contacts desktop app(Mac) or Outlook (Windows) or Google contacts or use a common app (an app that works with android and iOS).

Jan 27, 2013 8:14 AM in response to JGagikby carlvii,If you synced your Android phone with Google Contacts or Gmail, you can just head into the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" settings pane on your iPhone, tap "Add Account", "Other", and choose to add a CardDAV account with "google.com" (without quotation marks) as your server and your regular Gmail credentials.
Or, if you want to use iCloud, you could export your contacts from Gmail into a Vcard and add them to iCloud at www.icloud.com

May 9, 2013 2:19 AM in response to JGagikby avivibetty,Sync your phone with iTunes. This backs up all your contacts to iTunes. Then export/save contacts as a CSV file.
then, log into gmail on your laptop (or create a gmail account), and import the contacts. Edit them and delete the old numbers you dont want. When you are happy, then switch on your phone for the first time (or hard reset) and when it asks for a google account for your galaxy s3, use the one you created. And instantly all your contacts and text messages will be live synced always with google.
When you load gmail on your laptop, it gives you access to google mail, docs, calendars, photos etc. Any editing or changes you make with any of these will automatically be updated on your Samsung phone too over the air instantly.

Apr 29, 2014 4:55 AM in response to JGagikby Rubelzamanlal,While this might not be the best method, I have found it best served what I needed when transferring my Android HTC contacts to my iphone 5:
http://www.macvideoeditor.com/transfer-data-from-android-to-iphone/
First, I don't have a Gmail account, and even if I had, I would not wish to mix my email addresses with my iphone address book by syncing Gmail with my iphone address book. As a result, I used the above method in order to manually export my Android HTC contacts to my computer and in turn import them to my iphone 5.

How to move contacts and messages from Samsung Galaxy S3 to iPhone5?
Export your contacts file in your Android phone to your desktop or to a storage device. After this, open your Gmail account followed by settings and then click on import button there. Then choose the saved contact file that you saved in the previous step. This is a way to sync.
Now the next step goes to iPhone. In the device, tap on Settings option and then click Add account and then click on Microsoft Exchange in there. Just feed in the required information in the respective fields such as your email ID, password, server name as m.google.com. Now just go through the rest of the process which is very easy and you will have all your contacts imported in there. More detail:

As to contacts, I know how to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone. Google account is a good way to go.
On your Android phone :go to Menu > Settings>Accounts & Sync, Choose your Google account from the list of sync settings, choose Sync Contacts
and then on your iPhone:
Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account>Other>Add CardDav Account. Type “google.com” as the server. (without quotes) and enter your Google username and password
I use the method to sync contacts and I did it well. but for message....sorry, I do not know how to transfer them....

Sep 24, 2014 1:01 AM in response to JGagikby selenafromshenzhen,Well, as the other guys said above, to transfer contacts from Samsung S3 to iPhone 5, you can use Google, Outlook, iCloud account.
But, to transfer messages from Samsung to iPhone, you need help from some third party tool, like MobileTrans. It lets you transfer all text messages from your Samsung S3 to iPhone 5 in 1 click.
