I thought it was the graphics card, too, but when I went to the Apple Support in Amsterdam (I'm living in the Middle East right now) and they ran the diagnostic test, the guy said there was nothing wrong with the graphics card. Wouldn't it show up in the diagnostic test?
The guy at the genius bar couldn't help me; his only advice was to wipe the hard drive and reinstall everything, which I did, and I'm still having problems. I don't know where to go from here. Is there a different test I can run to figure out if it truly is the graphics card and even though the diagnostic test didn't show it?

Well disappointing feedback from Apple Support.
You can try running the (AHT) Apple Hardware Test yourself. Not wholly adequate or complete but something.
Reboot holding the D key to get to the AHT.
report back any error codes.
