When you see the flashing light is there an error message in AirPort Utility?

There were two messages. First was internet connection which was perfectly ok from the aiport extreme and the second message was wireless set-up or something to that extent, which I set-up twice after hard resetting the express twice.

It seems to be a faulty Express (if you're still in warranty I'd have it looked at).
